Luke 19:41-44

As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If this day you only knew what makes for peace - but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for peace in the Middle Eastern countries.

I was at a Bible study were we discussed 2 Kings. The Israelites were in the way of the Assyrian's and the Babylonian's getting to Egypt, where resources were abundant. During the discussions, we found out about how when the Israelites were unfaithful, even trying to appease The One True God as well as the other gods that "may" exist, God's protection was not with them.

It was not that God's wrath was against them, but their choice chose to be away from God.

We do the same in our own sinfulnes. We never know the time or the place, but we know Who is the source of all grace. It is with The Lord that we are protected. It is with The Lord that we are saved. Take care and God Bless.
