Matthew 5:13-16
Jesus said to his disciples: "You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for all the suffer from Alzheimer's, especially for the mother of a friend of mine.
There's a Mexican restaurant down in Central Phoenix called Carolina's. It's not along any major road, the neighborhood it sits features houses with bars on the windows, and the building looks run-down from the outside. I've seen and heard no ads about this place.
A few years ago, a friend of mine met me for mass in downtown and suggested that we go to this place for Carolina's for lunch. I trusted my friend because of who he was and because I knew that if anyone knew Mexican food, it would be him. I was greatly rewarded with very good, very authentic Mexican food. It was such a great experience that I took friends there to share in my joy.
We know what is authentic and good: Jesus Christ. Let us invite others to experience our joy by becoming true patrons of Christianity, being faithful and obedient to Our Lord, because we know that Jesus Christ is authentic and good. Take care and God Bless.
